Nezaket Ekici

    Nezaket Ekici was born 1970 in Kirsehir/ Turkey. She lives and works in Berlin and Stuttgart. From 1994-2000 she studied Art Pedagogy, Art History and  Sculpture at Ludwig-Maximilians-University and Fine Arts Academy in Munich. She got her degree in M.A. in Art Pedagogy. From 2001-2004 she studied Performance Art by Prof. Dr. Marina Abramovic at Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Braunschweig. There, she got her degree in Fine Arts and MFA Degree.

    She has been presenting her work in national and international exhibitions since 2000: The Irish Museum of Modern art in Dublin (2001), Museo Centro Galego de Arte Contemporànea Santiago de Compostela/ Spain (2002), the 50. Biennale in Venice (2003), P.S.1 New York (2004), Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam (2005); Reina Sophia Museum, Madrid, (2005); Proje 4L Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art, Istanbul, (2005);Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei/ Taiwan (2007); Venice Biennale (2007); Into me out of me Kunstwerke Berlin (2007):  Triennale Bovisa Museum, Milano, (2008), Expo Zaragossa (2008), Kunstmuseum Heidenheim (2009), Museum for Moderne Kunst Arnheim (2009), 5th Latin-American Biennal of Visual Arts Vento Sul, Curitiba, Brasil (2009).
